A REDES foi fundada em 2015 pelo Dr. Ousmane Pame, ex prefeito de Gu\u00e9d\u00e9-Chantier e atual presidente da Global Ecovillage Network Africa.<\/a> A vila de Gu\u00e9d\u00e9-Chantier est\u00e1 no sistema de ecovila desde 2007, e se tornou o n\u00facleo da REDES.
